Mini Kyomo
"The story of a mom who couldn't find the perfect watch for her son and decided to design it herself. I met Isabelle at Playtime in Paris last year—just before the world shutdown. I was walking past and her beautiful watches caught my eye. They are made in Japan with mineral glass, recycled thermoplastics, and recycled nylon, plus they are waterproof. I love beautifully designed pieces that are also functional!" Shop Mini Kyomo via Maisonette.

And of course producing unique, timeless heirloom pieces! Truly a woman-owned and operated company!"Shop Misha + Puff via Mapamundi.
On supporting women-owned businesses: "Owning a shop, much like being a parent, is a full-time, all-day, everyday job. I often joke that Mapamundi is my third child; it's something I never really put down or leave for very long. I didn't truly understand the power/meaning of the saying 'it takes a village' until I had my own children, and the same is true for being a small business owner. Women and moms are my primary customers, and one of my favorite parts of owning the shop is getting to be part of their story, helping find the perfect gift or an outfit to bring the baby home from the hospital in, commiserating on our kids' sleep or lack thereof, and generally just listening. A lot of my little village involves moms who also own small businesses, many of whom have become dear friends. I recognize and know the mom hustle, the late nights and early mornings of trying to juggle it all, all made more challenging by the events of this past year. I want my kids to know these women, to respect them and look up to them, as we all should. It's truly an investment in the future and I believe the more women-owned businesses that succeed, the closer we come to changing the way business has typically been done in this country and to gaining more equity in the workplace."

On supporting women-owned businesses: "I truly hope that women-owned businesses are our future. Women-owned businesses tend to create professional environments that are more nurturing, inspiring, and purposeful. I feel empowered to lift other female business owners up and encourage young girls to choose entrepreneurship. On supporting women-owned businesses: "Supporting women and women-owned business is at the core of what we do. When we first started FRĒDA, the support we felt from our female community was remarkable. Words of encouragement, help spreading the word, buying our shoes...it meant the world to us. It takes a lot of courage to put yourself out there, so to feel such positivity kept us going. We will never forget how important that was and we try our hardest to do the same for other female entrepreneurs. We recently started a marketplace on our site for female-founded goods, called FRĒDA Forum. We've been steadily adding products and profiling the female maker(s) and would love to continue to grow it and highlight more and more women."
